When you see Alwyn Court for the first time you are just captivated by it’s ever ascending stone structure and intricate details. You feel time has stopped in this beautiful corner of New York City for over a hundred years. I wanted to capture the life of the city moving at ground level as it towers over at a busy intersection. The well dressed man in a suit looks on, giving depth to the image and adds to the layers of the building and the cars going by. The way light falls upon the building is just nothing short of pure beauty. I had to come back again multiple times to get the exact shot I wanted and am very pleased with the results.
